Hammond 1583H8A1 1U 8-Outlet 15A Rack PDU, Gray, 6 ft Cord

The 1583H8A1 is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount outlet strip (basic PDU) rated 15 A at 120 VAC, with eight NEMA 5-15R receptacles arranged for power distribution from the rear of the unit. All eight outlets face the rear (0 front, 8 rear), so cabling stays behind the equipment while the lighted on/off rocker switch and resettable circuit breaker remain accessible at the front panel. It suits IT and AV racks, equipment cabinets, control rooms and OEM builds that need straightforward, switched power in a single rack unit.

Construction is painted steel finished in ASA 61 grey on both the front and back of the chassis. The powder coat finish complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, and shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg).

Power is supplied through an integral heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type cord rated for extreme temperature ranges, with a moulded straight-blade NEMA 5-15P plug and a 6 ft length. A 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker is built in to prevent accidental overload. The drawing rates the unit at 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps.

1583H8A1 is UL Recognized to Standard UL1363 (UL file E166039) and CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 21-95 and No. 42-99, is cRUus and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant. Manufactured in North America.
