Hammond 1583H6D1BKRA 1U 6-Outlet Rotated Rack PDU, 15A Locking Cord

The 1583H6D1BKRA is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 15 A single-phase at 125 VAC, 60 Hz. All six NEMA 5-15R receptacles face the rear of the unit, so it is aimed at IT, AV, broadcast and OEM installations where power is distributed behind rack-mounted equipment and the front panel stays clean. This version uses rotated outlets, which provide extra spacing for clearance of most plug-in transformers, and it terminates in a 15 ft NEMA L5-15P locking power cord.

Construction is painted steel, black front and back, finished in RAL9005 black powder coat that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. The chassis measures 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, and shipping weight is 4.44 lbs (2.01 kg). The heavy-duty cord is 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges, with an integral moulded plug.

Front-panel controls include an illuminated on/off rocker power switch and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker to prevent accidental overload. This unit is not metered, not surge protected, does not use a shielded cord and is not hospital grade.
