Hammond 1583H6A1BKRA 1U 6-Outlet Rotated Rack PDU, 15A 120V

The 1583H6A1BKRA is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) with six rear-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 15 A at 120 VAC. It is designed for power distribution from the rear of the unit, making it suited to IT, AV and control racks where equipment cords terminate behind the rack frame. This version uses rotated outlets, which provide extra spacing for clearance of most plug-in transformers.

Power comes in through an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug on a 6 ft heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges. An illuminated on/off rocker switch controls the strip, and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload. This part number is not metered, not surge protected and does not use a shielded cord.

Construction is painted steel, front and back, in a black finish; the series powder coat finishes comply with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality.
