Hammond 1583H6A1BKAM 1U Metered PDU, 6 Rear 5-15R Outlets

The 1583H6A1BKAM is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU rated 15 A at 125 VAC, 60 Hz, with six rear-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets and a built-in LED ammeter. It is intended for IT, AV and telecom racks, equipment cabinets and OEM assemblies where a single-phase 120 VAC branch has to feed several devices and the installer wants a live current reading at the panel.

All six outlets face the rear of the unit, so cords stay behind the equipment and out of the front aisle. A lighted on/off rocker switch and a resettable 15 A, 125 VAC circuit breaker are on the front face, alongside the digital ammeter, which uses 0.37 in high red LED digits in a 1.38 in x 0.88 in display and reads to an accuracy of +/- 0.1 A. Power comes in through a 6 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug, suited to extreme temperature ranges.

The chassis is painted steel, front and back, finished in RAL9005 black powder coat that complies with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with panel mounting slots on 17.500 in (444.50 mm) centres for standard 19-inch rack rails. Shipping weight is 3.5 lbs (1.59 kg).
