Hammond 1583H12D1BKX 1U 12-Outlet Rack PDU, 15A Locking Cord

The 1583H12D1BKX is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount outlet strip (basic PDU) rated 15A at 120/125 VAC, built for IT, AV, broadcast and industrial racks that need straightforward power distribution without metering or surge suppression. It carries 12 NEMA 5-15R outlets split 6 on the front and 6 on the rear, so equipment mounted at either side of the rack can be fed from a single 1U position.

Power is controlled by an illuminated on/off rocker switch, and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload. The supply is a heavy-duty 14/3 SJT, 14 gauge cord suited to extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded plug; on this model the cord is 15 ft long and terminates in a NEMA L5-15P locking plug for connections that resist accidental disconnection. Outlets are not rotated on this version, and the cord is unshielded.

Construction is painted steel, front and back, finished in black. The chassis measures 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with 17.50 in between mounting flange centres on the drawing, and it ships at 4.59 lbs (2.08 kg).
