Hammond 1583H12A1BKXRA 1U 12-Outlet 15A Rack PDU, Rotated 5-15R

The 1583H12A1BKXRA is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU rated 15 A, built for IT, AV and OEM installations that need outlets accessible from both sides of the rack. It provides 12 NEMA 5-15R receptacles arranged 6 on the front and 6 on the rear, so equipment mounted in front of the rails and gear behind them can be powered from a single 1U position.

All receptacles on this model are rotated with extra spacing, giving clearance for most plug-in transformers and oversized wall-wart style power supplies — a common problem on conventional strips where one bulky adapter blocks two outlets. An illuminated on/off rocker switch controls the unit, and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload.

Power is supplied by an integral 6 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges, terminated in a moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug. The chassis measures 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, weighs 4 lbs (1.81 kg) shipping, and is finished in black powder coat that complies with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality.
