Hammond 1583H12B1BKXRA 1U 12-Outlet Rack PDU, Rotated 5-15R Outlets

The 1583H12B1BKXRA is a basic rack mount power distribution unit that installs horizontally in a standard 19" rack and occupies 1U. It provides twelve NEMA 5-15R outlets split six on the front and six at the rear, making it suited to IT, AV and OEM installations where equipment needs to be fed from both sides of the rack. Rated current is 15 A on single-phase 125 V service.

All twelve receptacles are the rotated type, giving extra spacing so most plug-in transformers and bulky wall packs clear neighbouring outlets. An illuminated on/off rocker switch controls the strip, and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload. The supply cord is heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges, with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug.

The enclosure of this 1583H12B1BKXRA measures 19.00 in (483 mm) wide, 1.72 in (44 mm) high and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with a 17.500 in mounting-flange span shown on the drawing. It is finished in black powder coat and weighs 4 lbs (1.81 kg) shipping.
