Hammond 1583H12B1BKX 1U 12-Outlet 15A Switched Rack Mount PDU

The 1583H12B1BKX is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 15 A at 120 VAC, built for IT, AV, broadcast and industrial equipment racks where multiple pieces of gear need clean, switched power in a single rack unit. It provides 12 NEMA 5-15R outlets split 6 on the front and 6 on the rear of the chassis, so rack-face devices and rear-mounted equipment can both be fed from the same strip.

Construction is painted steel, black on both the front and the back, finished in RAL9005 black powder coat that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Power is supplied by a heavy-duty 14/3 SJT type cord rated for extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug, 15 ft long. An illuminated on/off rocker switch controls the unit and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker protects against accidental overload.

Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with mounting flanges for standard 19-inch rack rails; the drawing shows a 17.500 in (444.50 mm) chassis width and 18.188 in (461.98 mm) mounting hole span. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

1583H12B1BKX is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps and is CSA Certified to Standards C22.2 No. 21-95 and No. 42-99 and UL Recognized to Standard UL1363 under UL File E166039.
