Hammond 1583H12A1BKX 1U 12-Outlet 15A Rack PDU, 6 ft Cord

The 1583H12A1BKX is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 15 A at 120 VAC, with twelve NEMA 5-15R outlets split six on the front and six on the rear of the chassis. The front/rear outlet layout suits IT, AV and control racks where some devices are cabled from the equipment face and others from behind, so integrators, electricians and facilities teams can feed a full rack of loads from one 1U space.

Construction is painted steel, black on both the front and back panels, finished in RAL9005 black powder coat that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with a 17.50 in (444.50 mm) mounting-hole span for standard 19-inch rack rails, and shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

Power comes in on an integral 6 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord with a moulded straight-blade NEMA 5-15P plug, rated for extreme temperature ranges. A lighted on/off rocker power switch and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker are built in to guard against accidental overload. The drawing rates the assembly at 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps.
