Hammond 1555YAGY 300 x 240 x 120 mm Deep ABS Watertight Enclosure

The 1555YAGY is a deep general purpose ABS enclosure in the 1555 styled-lid series, measuring 300 x 240 x 120 mm (11.81 x 9.45 x 4.72 in) in light gray RAL 7035. With 109.25 mm of inside height shown on the drawing, it is a practical indoor housing for taller DIN rail mounted components or P.C. board assemblies, and the lid's smooth recessed surface takes a membrane keypad or label.

ABS versions are molded from general purpose material with a UL94 HB flame rating and are intended for indoor use. They are not UL listed but have been tested to and meet IP66, carry an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and have a recommended operating temperature of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F).

A two piece tongue and groove lid and a one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket (supplied loose) keep out oil, dust and water. The lid is held by six included M4 stainless steel machine screws that are self captivating and thread into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m). The interior provides DIN rail tabs, four M3 brass inserts, ten bosses accepting #8 self-tapping screws, lid standoffs for #6 screws and card guides for 1.5 mm boards, with a listed maximum P.C. board size of 225 x 285 mm.

Wall-mount the 1555YAGY through holes outside the gasket channel, or add the 1554FT-XY foot kit. The 1554YPL steel inner panel fits in the box or lid. The enclosure is RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, and has a listed shipping weight of 2.79 lbs (1.27 kg). The UL listed polycarbonate version is 1555YA2GY.
