Hammond 1555YA2GY 300 x 240 x 120 mm Deep Polycarbonate NEMA Enclosure

The 1555YA2GY is the taller polycarbonate member of the 1555 series 300 x 240 mm footprint, with a total height of 120 mm (11.81 x 9.45 x 4.72 in). The drawing shows an inside height of 109.25 mm, giving room for taller components, DIN rail devices and stacked boards. It is finished in light gray RAL 7035 with a styled lid whose smooth recess suits a membrane keypad or label.

Being polycarbonate, it is UV stabilized for outdoor use, flame rated UL94 5VA and cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324. It has been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, carries an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and is recommended for -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

The lid closes on a two piece tongue and groove joint with a one piece high temperature silicone gasket that ships loose in the box. Six included, self captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts at a recommended 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m). Inside there are molded DIN rail tabs, four M3 brass inserts, ten bosses for #8 self-tapping screws, lid standoffs for #6 screws and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards; maximum P.C. board size is listed as 225 x 285 mm.

Wall-mounting holes are outside the gasket channel and also fit the 1554FT-XY foot kit. The 1554YPL steel inner panel and 1554YGASKET gasket are the matching accessories.
