The 1555XAGY is a large, deep general purpose ABS enclosure measuring 300 x 200 x 120 mm (11.81 x 7.87 x 4.72 in), finished in light gray RAL 7035. It is suited to indoor PC board and DIN rail projects that need a watertight box with generous internal space.
The tongue and groove lid seals on a one piece, high temperature UL listed silicone gasket supplied loose inside. Six M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into M4 corrosion resistant inserts; they are self captivating and the recommended cover screw torque is 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m).
The drawing lists overall dimensions of 299.33 x 199.55 x 119.73 mm with an inside length of 289.09 mm and an inside height of 109.25 mm. P.C. boards up to 185 x 285 mm fit, and the interior provides four M3 brass inserts and ten positions accepting #8 self-tapping screws, plus molded DIN rail tabs and card guides. The 1554XPL steel inner panel fits in the box or lid and is ordered separately.
ABS 1555 enclosures are tested to IP66, carry an IK07 impact rating and UL94-HB flammability rating, and are recommended for indoor use from -20°C to +60°C; they are not UL listed. Four 4.39 mm wall-mounting holes outside the gasket channel also accept the 1554FT-XY foot kit. Choose 1555XA2GY for the UL listed polycarbonate version.
