The 1555Q2F42GY is the polycarbonate, UL listed version of the 1555F Series flanged-base enclosure in the Q size, built for outdoor wireless, security, controls and other harsh industrial installations. It gives OEM engineers and integrators a watertight, wall-mountable housing for printed circuit boards, panels or DIN rail mounted components.
This is the taller of the two Q heights. The body measures 5.55 x 5.51 x 2.44 in (141 x 140 x 62 mm) not including flanges, and the drawing shows 180.00 mm [7.09 in] overall length across the flanges with a 158.00 mm [6.22 in] flange hole spacing. Inner box depth is 42.00 mm [1.65 in] and inner lid depth 12.00 mm [.47 in], leaving useful room for taller components.
The polycarbonate is UV stabilized, carries a UL94-5VA rating and is cUL and UL 508A listed under file #E65324. Polycarbonate versions have been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, carry an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021, and have a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
The satin RAL7035 grey lid seals through a two-piece tongue and groove joint with a one-piece silicone gasket, supplied loose. M4 stainless steel lid screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts behind the lid (recommended torque 2.5 lbf-in / 30 cN-m). Inside, DIN rail tabs are molded into the lid and standoffs accept #4 x 1/4" self-tapping screws; the 1554QPL steel inner panel is ordered separately.
