The 1555JGY is a 160 x 90 mm general purpose ABS enclosure, 61 mm high overall, in light gray RAL 7035. Its elongated shape suits narrow circuit boards and compact DIN rail assemblies in indoor equipment.
The ABS body has a UL94 HB flame rating and is specified for indoor use. It is not UL listed but has been tested to and meets IP66, and it carries an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. The recommended operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F). The polycarbonate, UL listed alternative is 1555J2GY.
Internally the box offers 152.91 x 78.91 mm with 52.00 mm of height and takes a P.C. board up to 77.47 x 147.32 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, M3 integral brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical guides for 1.5 mm boards are all present; the 1554JPL steel inner panel is sold separately.
The styled lid presents a smooth recess for a label or membrane keypad and seals on a tongue and groove with a replaceable silicone gasket supplied loose. Four self captivating M4 stainless steel screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts at a recommended 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). The 1555JGY ships shrink wrapped at 0.44 lbs (0.20 kg).
