The 1555HL2GY is the low-profile version of the 180 x 120 mm 1555H footprint: a light gray (RAL 7035) polycarbonate enclosure with a total height of just 46 mm. It is aimed at designers who need a flat, sealed housing for circuit boards or DIN rail components indoors or outdoors.
Construction is UV stabilized polycarbonate with a UL94 5VA flame rating. The enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and is rated IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, with an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and a recommended operating temperature of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
The interior measures 173.09 x 113.09 mm with 36.95 mm of height, and the maximum P.C. board size is 106.68 x 167.13 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical guides for 1.5 mm boards provide mounting points, and the separately sold 1554HPL steel inner panel fits in the box or lid.
The purchased assembly includes the box, styled lid, four cover screws and a preformed silicone gasket. The styled lid offers a smooth recess for a membrane keypad or label; its M4 stainless steel screws are self captivating and thread into corrosion resistant inserts (43-57 ozf-in / 30-40 cN-m). Four 4.30 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel.
