Hammond 1555E2F17GY 90x90x38mm Polycarbonate Flanged NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1555E2F17GY is a square, low-profile polycarbonate enclosure from the 1555F Series, built for outdoor and harsh industrial installations such as security, outdoor wireless and controls. The flanged base mounts directly to a wall, and the light grey RAL7035 satin finish includes a smooth recessed lid area for a membrane keypad or label.

The polycarbonate is UV stabilized and rated UL94-5VA. It is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and has been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and to NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, with an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. The recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F); Hammond advises customers to test for their own application.

The body measures 3.54 x 3.54 x 1.50 in (90 x 90 x 38 mm) without flanges, and the drawing shows an overall length of 130.00 mm across the flanges. Inside, the base is 17.56 mm deep and the lid 12.50 mm deep. DIN rail mounting tabs are molded into the lid, and standoffs in the lid and base accept #4 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws (1555TS100) for a PC board up to 78 x 78 mm or the 1555EFPL galvanized steel inner panel.

The purchased assembly includes the box, flanged lid, four M4 stainless steel cover screws that thread into corrosion resistant inserts, and a preformed silicone gasket supplied loose. Recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). The 1555E2F17GY is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships shrink wrapped at 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg).
