Hammond 1555CGY 120x65x41mm ABS Watertight PCB Enclosure, IP66

The 1555CGY is a slim rectangular enclosure molded in general purpose ABS, 120 x 65 x 41 mm nominal (the part page lists 4.7 x 2.6 x 1.6 in, or 119 x 66 x 41 mm). It is a practical indoor housing for long, narrow circuit boards, and suits electronics designers and panel builders who need a gasketed box at ABS cost.

The board-mounting provisions are what separate size C from the smaller A and B boxes: threaded M3 integral brass inserts and/or standoffs for #6 self tapping screws, vertical card guides for 1.5 mm thick P.C. boards, and molded lid standoffs. Maximum board size is 52.83 x 110.49 mm. Size C does not include internal DIN rail mounting tabs. An optional steel inner panel, 1554CPL, fits in the box or the lid.

ABS versions are UL94-HB rated, tested to and meet IP66, and carry an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. They are for indoor use with a recommended range of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F), and they are not UL listed. The UL 508A listed polycarbonate equivalent is 1555C2GY.

The light gray RAL 7035 lid uses tongue and groove construction with a one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose, and is secured by four included M4 stainless steel screws into corrosion resistant inserts at a recommended 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Two 4.00 mm mounting holes outside the gasket channel accept wall screws or the 1554FT foot kit. The 1555CGY ships shrink wrapped at 0.25 lbs (0.11 kg).
