Hammond 1555CF42GY 120x65x63mm ABS Flanged Watertight Enclosure

The 1555CF42GY is a light grey (RAL7035) general purpose ABS enclosure from the 1555F Series with a flanged base for wall mounting. Its long, narrow 120 x 65 mm footprint and 63 mm height suit OEM engineers and integrators who need a compact, sealed housing for a printed circuit board or small inner panel in an indoor installation.

The box and lid are molded from ABS carrying a UL94-HB flammability rating. A one-piece high temperature silicone gasket sits in a two-piece tongue and groove joint to keep out oil, dust and water; the gasket ships loose inside the enclosure rather than pre-installed. Included M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts, so the lid can be removed and refitted repeatedly, and because the screws sit behind the lid the interior stays secure. Hammond recommends a cover screw torque of 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m).

Without flanges the body measures 4.72 in (120 mm) long, 2.56 in (65 mm) wide and 2.48 in (63 mm) high; the part page lists 119 x 66 x 62 mm, and the drawing gives an overall length of 150.79 mm across the flanges. Standoffs molded into the lid and base accept #4 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws (1555TS100) and take a PC board up to 52 x 108 mm or the optional 1555CFPL galvanized steel inner panel. As a C size model it does not have the internal DIN rail tabs found on larger 1555F sizes.

The ABS version is tested to IP66, carries an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and is recommended for -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F). It is not UL listed; the UL listed polycarbonate equivalent is 1555C2F42GY. The 1555CF42GY is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships shrink wrapped at 0.37 lbs (0.17 kg).
