The 1555C2GY is a long, low-profile polycarbonate enclosure from the 1555 Series, 120 x 65 x 41 mm nominal (the part page lists 4.7 x 2.6 x 1.6 in, or 119 x 66 x 41 mm) and described by the manufacturer as a water-tight, flanged type. It suits OEM engineers and integrators packaging elongated circuit boards for outdoor or UL 508A applications.
Polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The UV stabilized material is rated UL94-5VA, carries IK08 impact resistance per IEC 62262:2021, and is recommended for -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
From size C upward, the interior adds threaded M3 integral brass inserts and/or standoffs for #6 self tapping screws, vertical card guides for 1.5 mm thick P.C. boards, and standoffs molded into the lid. The 1555C2GY accepts a board up to 52.83 x 110.49 mm. Note that sizes C and D do not have the internal DIN rail mounting tabs found in most other sizes. The optional 1554CPL steel inner panel fits in the box or the lid.
Four included M4 stainless steel lid screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts (recommended torque 43-57 ozf-in, 30-40 cN-m), sealing a tongue and groove lid over a loose-supplied silicone gasket. Two 4.00 mm mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also take the 1554FT foot kit. Clear lid 1554CCL and gasket 1554CGASKET are available. Shipping weight is 0.3 lbs (0.14 kg).
