Hammond 1555C2F42GY 120 x 65 x 63 mm Tall Flanged Polycarbonate Enclosure

The 1555C2F42GY is the taller of the two C size polycarbonate enclosures in the 1555F flanged series. It is nominally 120 x 65 x 63 mm (4.72 x 2.56 x 2.48 in) not including flanges, listed on its part page as 119 x 66 x 62 mm (4.7 x 2.6 x 2.44 in). The extra height gives space for connectors, taller components or small modules, while the 150.79 mm flanged base mounts to a wall through four 5.00 mm holes.

The polycarbonate construction is UV stabilized for outdoor use and rated UL94 5VA. It is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and independently tested to IP66, IP67, IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, with an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. The recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

The satin RAL7035 grey lid has a 2.00 mm recessed area for a membrane keypad or label. Four included M4 stainless steel screws sit behind the lid, threading into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). A one piece high temperature silicone gasket, supplied loose, seats in the two-piece tongue and groove joint.

The 1555C2F42GY accepts P.C. boards up to 52 x 108 mm on standoffs designed for #4 x 1/4 in self-tapping screws (1555TS100), or the optional 1555CFPL steel inner panel. This size has no DIN rail tabs in the lid. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, and weighs 0.37 lbs (0.17 kg).
