Hammond 1555B2GY 65x65x41mm Polycarbonate NEMA 4X Enclosure, IP68

The 1555B2GY is a compact, square polycarbonate enclosure from the 1555 Series, sized 65 x 65 x 41 mm nominal (the part page lists 2.6 x 2.6 x 1.6 in, or 66 x 66 x 41 mm). It is built for integrators and OEM designers who need a small sealed housing for a circuit board or DIN rail component that can be used outdoors.

Polycarbonate versions are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and have been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 as well as NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The material is UV stabilized for outdoor use, carries a UL94-5VA flame rating and an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021, and is recommended for -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

A two piece tongue and groove lid seals against a one-piece silicone gasket, supplied loose for installation. Four included M4 stainless steel lid screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts and are self captivating; recommended torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). The light gray RAL 7035 styled lid has a smooth recess for a membrane keypad or label.

Inside, the 1555B2GY takes a P.C. board up to 55.45 x 55.96 mm and has DIN rail mounting tabs; size B does not include the M3 brass inserts, card guides or lid standoffs of larger sizes. Accessories include the 1554BPL steel inner panel, 1554FT foot kit, 1554BGASKET replacement gasket and 1554BCL clear lid. Two 4.00 mm mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel. It ships shrink wrapped at 0.19 lbs (0.09 kg).
