Hammond 1554XGY 300x200x90mm Gasketed ABS Enclosure, Light Gray

The 1554XGY is a 300 x 200 x 90 mm (11.81 x 7.87 x 3.54 in) watertight enclosure molded from general purpose ABS in light gray RAL 7035. It is the ABS member of the 1554X size, aimed at OEM engineers and panel builders who need an indoor housing for printed circuit boards or DIN rail mounted components where UL listing is not required.

The flat lid seals through two-piece tongue and groove construction and a one-piece replaceable gasket of high temperature UL listed silicone, which ships loose inside the box rather than pre-installed. Six M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts; the screws are self-captivating, and the lid holes are threaded the first time the screws are installed. Recommended cover screw torque is 8-9 lbf-in (90-100 cN-m).

Inside there is room for a board up to 285 x 174 mm. The drawing shows 4 M3 brass inserts, 10 bosses that accept #8 self-tapping screws, molded vertical card guides for 1.5mm thick boards and DIN rail mounting tabs. A 1554XPL steel inner panel is available separately, and the four wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel so they do not compromise the seal. The same holes accept the 1554FT-XY foot kit.

The ABS material carries a UL94-HB flammability rating, has been tested to and meets IP66, and carries an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. It is intended for indoor use at -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F) and is not UL listed; choose 1554X2GY if you need the polycarbonate, UL 508A listed version. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships shrink wrapped at 2.05 lbs (0.93 kg).
