The 1554W2GY is a square, low-profile watertight enclosure molded from UV stabilized light gray (RAL 7035) polycarbonate with a gray polycarbonate lid. Its 180 x 180 mm footprint suits OEM engineers and integrators housing PC boards or DIN rail mounted components outdoors.
The ordering table gives 7.09 x 7.09 x 2.36 in (180 x 180 x 60 mm); the part page nominal size is 7.1 x 7.1 x 2.36 in, and the drawing shows an overall height of 60.10 mm [2.37 in]. Inside dimensions are 172.36 x 168.69 x 53.70 mm. PC boards up to 167 x 167.5 mm mount on molded card guides, M3 brass inserts or #6 self-tapping standoffs, and DIN rail tabs are molded in. The 1554WPL steel inner panel is sold separately.
Gray polycarbonate is rated UL94 5VA. The enclosure is cUL and UL 508A listed under E65324, carries the UL Listed Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P mark on its drawing, and series testing covers IP66, IP67, IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. Impact rating is IK08 per IEC 62262:2021; recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
Four included stainless steel M4 screws, self-captivating in corrosion resistant inserts, secure the tongue and groove lid; recommended torque for this size is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Replacement screws are SC576-50 (M4-0.7 x 20 mm). The silicone gasket ships loose. Four 4.30 mm wall mounting holes outside the gasket channel also fit the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554W2GY weighs 0.95 lbs (0.43 kg), shrink wrapped, RoHS and REACH compliant.
