Hammond 1554VACL 240x160mm Clear Polycarbonate Lid, VA/VAL/VB Sizes

The 1554VACL is a clear polycarbonate replacement lid for Hammond 1554 and 1555 series enclosures in size VA, VAL and VB. It measures 240 x 160 x 20 mm (9.45 in x 6.3 in x 0.79 in), and fits the 1554VA, 1554VAL, 1554VB, 1555VA, 1555VAL, 1555VB bases. Maintenance teams, panel builders and OEMs use it to replace a damaged lid or to convert a solid-lid enclosure into one where displays, LEDs or labels stay visible.

The lid is molded from polycarbonate that is UV stabilized for outdoor use, and clear lids carry a UL94V-0 rating. When installed properly with screws and gasket, the lid is designed to meet NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, which meet and exceed IP ratings up to and including IP68. The recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F); customers should do their own testing to confirm suitability for a specific application.

This 240 x 160 x 20 mm lid fits the VA, VAL and VB sizes. It is not the lid for the V size, which uses 1554VCL. The VA-family lid is covered by the full NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 design rating.

Replacement lids do not include screws or gaskets, so reuse the existing hardware or order compatible accessories listed on the 1554 or 1555 series pages. On a 1555 base the clear lid works but is not styled like the standard 1555 lid. Some chemicals can damage or weaken plastic, so check the manufacturer's Chemical Resistance Statement before cleaning or sealing. The 1554VACL is RoHS and REACH compliant and has a shipping weight of 0.54 lbs (0.24 kg).
