The 1554V2GY is a 240 x 160 mm polycarbonate enclosure in solid light gray RAL 7035, with a total height of 3.58 in (91 mm) per the ordering table. It gives integrators and OEM designers a larger sealed housing for PC boards, DIN rail components or inner-panel assemblies in indoor or outdoor locations.
Note on ratings: the series specification sheet states that this part and its clear- and smoked-lid versions are Type 4, 4X only, and the drawing is marked cUL US Listed, file E65324, Type 4, 4X. The part page lists IP66, a NEMA rating of 1, 4, 4X, 12 & 13 and a UL94 5VA flame rating. Polycarbonate versions are UV stabilized for outdoor use, UL 508A listed, IK08 impact rated and recommended for -40°C to +110°C.
The drawing notes that the purchased assembly includes the box, lid, four cover screws and a preformed silicone gasket. The M4-0.7 x 25 mm stainless steel cover screws have a recommended torque of 71-85 oz f-in (50-60 cN-m). Inside, the enclosure measures 232.26 mm long, 148.26 mm wide and 83.50 mm high, and the part page lists maximum P.C. board dimensions of 146.74 mm and 231.47 mm.
Molded DIN rail tabs, vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards and M3 brass inserts (also taking #6 self-tapping screws) are built in, with accessories including the 1554VPL steel inner panel, 1591MM100 and 1598ATS100 screws, 1554VGASKET and SC583-50. The 1554V2GY mounts through four Ø4.57 mm holes outside the gasket channel and ships shrink wrapped at 1.33 lbs (0.60 kg).
