Hammond 1554RL2GYSL 160x160x45mm Smoked Lid Polycarbonate NEMA Enclosure

The 1554RL2GYSL is a shallow, square watertight enclosure from the 1554 Series, pairing a RAL 7035 light gray polycarbonate box with a smoked polycarbonate lid. At 160 x 160 x 45 mm (6.3 x 6.3 x 1.77 in) it suits OEM engineers and integrators housing flat printed circuit boards or DIN rail components where a tinted lid lets indicator LEDs or displays be seen without exposing the electronics.

The box is UV stabilized polycarbonate for outdoor use, is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, and carries an IP68 rating on its part page. Series testing covers IP66, IP67 and IP68 plus NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, with an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C. The part page lists a UL94 V-0 flame rating, which the series assigns to clear and smoked lids.

Inside, the drawing gives 152.98 x 152.98 mm length and width with 38.75 mm (1.53 in) of inside height, and a maximum PC board of 150.9 x 147.4 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, M3 brass inserts and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards provide mounting options, and the optional 1554RPL steel inner panel is ordered separately.

The two piece tongue and groove lid seals on a loose-supplied, one-piece silicone gasket and closes with four included, self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws threaded into corrosion resistant inserts. Four Ø4.30 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also accept the 1554FT foot kit. Shipping weight is 0.72 lbs (0.33 kg); the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
