The 1554RGY is a general purpose ABS enclosure in the 160 mm square 1554 size, measuring 6.3 x 6.3 x 2.4 in (160 x 160 x 61 mm). The box and lid are light gray RAL 7035, making it a cost-conscious choice for indoor PC board and DIN rail assemblies that still need a gasketed, watertight lid.
Inside, the drawing gives 152.91 x 148.91 mm of length and width and 54.00 mm of height, with space for a PC board up to 147.4 x 150.95 mm. DIN rail mounting tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards are molded in. The 1554RPL steel inner panel is available separately.
The lid uses two-piece tongue and groove construction with a one-piece, high temperature UL listed silicone gasket supplied loose inside the enclosure. Four included M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into corrosion resistant bushings and become self-captivating after the first installation; recommended torque is 43-57 oz f-in (30-40 cN-m).
The ABS material is rated UL94 HB and IK07, has been tested to IP66, and is recommended for indoor use from -20°C to +60°C. This version is not UL listed. Four 4.00 mm mounting holes outside the gasket channel also accept the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554RGY ships at 0.73 lbs (0.33 kg).
