Hammond 1554RL2GY 160mm Square, 45mm Low-Profile Polycarbonate Box

The 1554RL2GY is a low-profile 1554 polycarbonate enclosure measuring 6.3 x 6.3 x 1.77 in (160 x 160 x 45 mm), with a solid light gray RAL 7035 box and lid. At 45 mm tall it suits flat PC board assemblies and slim DIN rail devices where a shallow, sealed housing is preferred, whether indoors or outdoors.

The drawing gives an inside height of 38.75 mm and inside plan dimensions of 152.98 x 150.63 mm, and the part page lists a maximum PC board of 150.9 mm long by 147.4 mm wide. Molded DIN rail tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards support a range of layouts, and the 1554RPL steel inner panel is available separately.

Solid gray polycarbonate carries a UL94 5VA flame rating. Polycarbonate 1554 enclosures are UV stabilized for outdoor use, cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, rated IP68 and independently tested to IP66, IP67 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, with an IK08 impact rating and a recommended range of -40°C to +110°C.

The lid seals with a tongue and groove joint and a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose, secured by included M4 stainless steel screws in corrosion resistant inserts. Four Ø4.30 mm mounting holes lie outside the gasket channel and also take the 1554FT foot kit. Shipping weight is 0.72 lbs (0.33 kg).
