The 1554N2GYSL is the smoked-lid version of the 120 x 120 x 61 mm (4.72 x 4.72 x 2.40 in) 1554N polycarbonate enclosure. A light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate box is closed by a tinted polycarbonate lid, giving a view of indicators inside while toning down what is visible. It is a fit for integrators and OEMs housing PC boards or DIN rail components.
The smoked lid is rated UL94 V-0. A two-piece tongue and groove joint and a one-piece high-temperature UL listed silicone gasket (supplied loose) seal the lid, which is held by four self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws in corrosion resistant inserts. Recommended cover screw torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m).
The drawing lists an inside length of 112.91 mm and inside height of 54.50 mm, and a P.C. board can measure up to 106.68 x 107.7 mm. Internal DIN rail tabs, M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards are molded in; the 1554NPL steel inner panel is sold separately.
Like the other polycarbonate 1554 versions, the 1554N2GYSL is cUL and UL 508A listed (E65324), UV stabilized for outdoor use, tested to IP66, IP67, IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, and IK08 impact rated, with a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C.
