Hammond 1554N2GY 120x120x61mm Gray Polycarbonate NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1554N2GY is a 120 x 120 x 61 mm (4.72 x 4.72 x 2.40 in) watertight enclosure molded entirely from light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate, box and lid. It is aimed at OEM engineers, panel builders and field electricians who need a compact, UL listed housing for printed circuit boards or DIN rail mounted components, indoors or out.

The flat lid uses two-piece tongue and groove construction with a one-piece silicone gasket that ships loose inside the box. Four self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts, so the cover can be opened and closed repeatedly; the recommended cover screw torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m).

Inside, the drawing gives an inside length of 112.91 mm and inside height of 54.50 mm, with room for a PC board up to 106.68 x 107.7 mm. Molded DIN rail tabs, M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards give several mounting options, and the 1554NPL steel inner panel is available separately.

The UV stabilized polycarbonate is cUL and UL 508A listed (file E65324), independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, rated IK08 for impact and UL94-5VA for flammability. Recommended operating range is -40°C to +110°C. Four 4.00 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also accept the 1554FT foot kit.
