The 1554MPB6A offers six 22.5 mm pushbutton holes on the 1554VA enclosure body. Compared with the 1554MPB6, the lid is secured with six cover screws rather than four, and it takes the 1554VAPL inner panel. It suits control engineers who want a six-device station with a six-screw lid in a sealed polycarbonate housing. The 30.5 mm version is the 1554PB6A.
The enclosure is 9.45 in H x 6.30 in W x 3.54 in D with lid (240 x 160 x 90 mm), nominally 9.5 x 6.3 x 3.5 in, with four Ø4.00 mm mounting holes outside the gasket seal. Shipping weight is 1.3 lbs (0.59 kg). The optional 1554VAPL galvanized 16 ga. steel inner panel measures 8.93 x 5.73 in (227 x 146 mm).
Construction is light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate, UL94 5VA and suitable for outdoor use. Self-captivating M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into integral stainless steel bushings; recommended torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m). The preformed, high temperature U.L. listed silicone gasket is replaceable, and the base has internal DIN rail mounting tabs plus M3 brass inserts, standoffs and 1.5 mm PC card guides.
The series is rated IP66 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, though the series notes that 6 pushbutton enclosures do not meet Type 6/6P. The drawing shows the cUL US Listed mark (E65324) and UL 508A approval for the polycarbonate version. The 1554MPB6A ships with box, lid, 6 cover screws and gasket and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
