1554EGY is a square, general purpose ABS watertight enclosure measuring 3.54 x 3.54 x 2.40 in (90 x 90 x 61 mm) in light gray RAL 7035. Size E is the first size in this group with internal DIN rail mounting tabs molded in, which makes it a practical indoor box for a small DIN rail device or a PC board.
Inside there is 82.91 x 78.91 mm of floor and 54.50 mm of height. Along with the DIN rail tabs you get threaded M3 brass inserts, standoffs for #6 self-tapping screws and molded vertical card guides for 1.5 mm boards. The listed maximum PC board is 77.47 x 78.41 mm, and the 1554EPL steel inner panel can be ordered separately.
The flat lid seals with a two-piece tongue and groove design and a one-piece, replaceable, high temperature UL listed silicone gasket supplied loose inside the box. Four included self-captivating M4 stainless steel screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 43-57 oz f-in (30-40 cN-m). Four 4 mm mounting holes outside the gasket channel serve wall mounting or the 1554FT foot kit.
The ABS body is rated UL94 HB, tested to IP66 and carries an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. It is not UL listed and is intended for indoor use from -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F). The 1554EGY is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships shrink wrapped at 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg).
