The 1554CGY is the low-profile, general purpose ABS member of the 1554 C size: a light gray (RAL 7035) watertight box measuring 4.72 x 2.56 x 1.61 in (120 x 65 x 41 mm). It suits OEM engineers and electronics builders who need a compact, sealed housing for a small printed circuit board in an indoor setting.
The flat screw-cover lid seals through a two-piece tongue and groove joint with a one-piece, high temperature UL listed silicone gasket, which ships loose inside the enclosure for you to fit. Four included M4 stainless steel machine screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts in the lid; the screws are self-captivating, and the recommended cover screw torque is 43-57 oz f-in (30-40 cN-m).
Inside, you get about 113.44 x 54.44 mm of floor with 34.50 mm of inside height. Threaded M3 brass inserts and standoffs that accept #6 self-tapping screws hold a PC board or the optional 1554CPL steel inner panel, and molded vertical card guides take 1.5 mm boards. Maximum board size is listed as 52.83 x 110.49 mm. Size C does not have internal DIN rail tabs.
The ABS body carries a UL94 HB flammability rating, has been tested to IP66 and carries an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. It is not UL listed and is intended for indoor use from -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F). Two 4 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also accept the 1554FT foot kit. The part is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships shrink wrapped at 0.25 lbs (0.11 kg).
