The 1554B2GYCL is the clear-lid version of the square 1554B polycarbonate enclosure: a light gray polycarbonate box with a transparent polycarbonate cover. Listed at 2.6 in x 2.6 in x 1.6 in (66 mm x 66 mm x 41 mm), nominally 65 x 65 x 41 mm, it lets installers see LEDs, gauges or displays without opening a sealed box.
The part carries a UL94 V-0 flame rating, IP68, and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13. Polycarbonate 1554 models are UV stabilized for outdoor use, cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, IK08 impact rated per IEC 62262:2021, and rated for -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F) recommended operating temperature.
Per the drawing, inside space is 58.44 mm x 58.44 mm with 34.50 mm inside height, and the maximum P.C. board is 55.45 mm x 55.96 mm. Posts accept #6 self-tapping screws, and a 1554BPL steel inner panel can be added. The two piece tongue and groove lid seals with a one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose in the box.
Four included M4 stainless steel lid screws are self-captivating and should be torqued to 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m). Two 4.00 mm wall mounting holes outside the gasket channel also accept the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554B2GYCL ships in shrink wrap at 0.19 lbs (0.09 kg).
