The 1554B2GY is a square polycarbonate enclosure from the 1554 series with a gray lid, listed at 2.6 in x 2.6 in x 1.6 in (66 mm x 66 mm x 41 mm), nominally 65 mm x 65 mm x 41 mm. It is a practical housing for small controllers, sensor electronics and terminations that must survive rain, hose-down or outdoor exposure.
Made from light gray RAL 7035 polycarbonate, it is UV stabilized for outdoor use and carries a UL94 5VA flame rating. The part is rated IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13, is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, and has an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. The recommended operating temperature range is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
Inside dimensions per the drawing are 58.44 mm x 58.44 mm with an inside height of 34.50 mm, and the maximum P.C. board is listed as 55.45 mm x 55.96 mm. Mounting posts accept #6 self-tapping screws, and the 1554BPL steel inner panel can be ordered separately. Internal DIN rail mounting tabs are molded into all sizes except C and D.
The lid closes with 4 included M4 stainless steel self-captivating screws into corrosion resistant bushings (43-57 ozf-in / 30-40 cN-m recommended), over a loose-supplied one-piece silicone gasket. Two 4.00 mm mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also take the 1554FT foot kit. Shipping weight is 0.19 lbs (0.09 kg), in shrink wrap.
