The 1554A2GYCL combines a light gray polycarbonate box with a clear polycarbonate lid, so indicators, displays or status LEDs inside stay visible while the enclosure remains sealed. At 2.05 in x 1.97 in x 1.57 in (52 mm x 50 mm x 40 mm), it is the smallest clear-lid option in the 1554 series and suits compact sensors and small electronics in harsh locations.
The part is listed with a UL94 V-0 flame rating, an IP68 rating and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13. Polycarbonate versions are UV stabilized for outdoor use, cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, rated IK08 for impact per IEC 62262:2021, and recommended for -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
A two piece tongue and groove lid and a one-piece high temperature silicone gasket keep out oil, dust and water; the gasket is supplied loose rather than pre-installed. Two included M4 stainless steel lid screws are self-captivating and thread into corrosion resistant bushings, with a recommended torque of 85 - 92 ozf-in (60-65 cN-m).
Internally the 1554A2GYCL accepts a P.C. board up to 44 mm x 42 mm, or the separately ordered 1554APL steel inner panel. Two 4.30 mm mounting holes are placed outside the gasket channel. Shipping weight is 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg).
