The 1554A2GY is the smallest polycarbonate model in the 1554 screw-cover enclosure series, measuring 2.05 in x 1.97 in x 1.57 in (52 mm x 50 mm x 40 mm) with a solid gray lid. It is built for OEM engineers and electricians housing compact sensors, small PC boards or terminal connections in wet, dusty or outdoor locations.
Box and lid are molded in light gray (RAL 7035) polycarbonate that is UV stabilized for outdoor use and carries a UL94 5VA flame rating. The part is rated IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13, carries an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021, and is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324. The recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).
The gasketed lid uses two piece tongue and groove construction and a one-piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket, which is shipped loose inside the box. Size A closes with 2 included M4 stainless steel lid screws that are self-captivating and thread into corrosion resistant bushings; recommended torque is 85 - 92 ozf-in (60-65 cN-m).
Inside, the 1554A2GY takes a P.C. board up to 44 mm x 42 mm, or the 1554APL steel inner panel (ordered separately). Two 4.30 mm wall mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel. No foot kit is listed for size A. Shipping weight is 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg).
