Hammond 1552C1BK 70x50x22mm Hand-Held ABS Enclosure, Black

The 1552C1BK is the compact C1 size of the 1552 series hand-held ABS plastic enclosures, in black. It is an electronic instrument enclosure shaped to sit comfortably in the user's hand, and it also works on a desktop, making it a fit for hand-held controllers and small electronic instruments.

The case is molded from flame retardant ABS plastic with a satin texture and a UL94 V-0 rating. Lap joint construction protects against dust accumulation and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54 requirements. The top is recessed to take a membrane display or keypad, and the two end panels are removable for easy modification or can be replaced with rubberized cord grips.

The C1 measures 70 mm (2.76 in) long, 50 mm (1.97 in) wide and 22 mm (0.87 in) deep, with an inside height of 16.20 mm [.64 in] on the drawing. It accepts a printed circuit board up to 49 mm long by 43.7 mm wide, fixed with #2 self-tapping screws. The case is secured with four self-tapping screws; on the C1 size there are no mid-wall snap closures. Black enclosures come with black screws, and the recommended cover screw torque is 21-28 ozf-in (15-20 cN-m).

The purchased assembly includes box, lid, 2 panels and 4 cover screws. Size C accessories include the 1552CPGKIT cable gland kit (for wire diameters from 2 mm to 6 mm), the 1552CH wall-mount holder and 1552CPL replacement end panels in 10-packs. The gray equivalent is 1552C1GY. RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, 0.08 lbs (0.04 kg).
