Hammond 1551SNAP2BK 80x40mm Black Unvented Snap-Fit Sensor Enclosure

The 1551SNAP2BK is a 80 x 40 mm rectangular unvented miniature enclosure from the 1551SNAP series, molded in black ABS plastic. Its snap-fit assembly and wall-mounting features are designed for IoT or general purpose applications, and it is well suited to mounting printed circuit boards for sensor nodes and small electronics. If airflow is needed, the matching vented version is 1551V2BK.

The part page lists a size of 1.57 in x 3.15 in x 0.79 in (40 mm x 80 mm x 20 mm); the drawing shows 80.00 mm [3.15 in] by 40.00 mm [1.57 in] with an overall height of 20.30 mm [0.80 in]. The maximum P.C. board size is 74.25 mm x 34 mm, and four PC board standoffs are molded into the interior. Boards are secured with #2 x 3/16" self-tapping screws, which are not included; 1553WTS100 is a pack of 100, and the recommended torque is 21-28 ozf.in (15-20 cN.m).

The base and cover snap together with no hardware required, and the enclosure can be reopened repeatedly as needed. Assembly hooks, wall-mounting slots on the base and a wire entry knockout that can be removed with a screwdriver make installation straightforward.
