Hammond 1550Z220BK Black 223 x 147 x 83 mm Deep Watertight Diecast Box

The 1550Z220BK is a black textured, thick-wall watertight diecast aluminum enclosure measuring 8.76 in x 5.77 in x 3.25 in (223 mm x 147 mm x 83 mm). With a 1.30 in (33 mm) lid height and 3.27 in (83 mm) total depth, it offers more internal headroom than the same-footprint 1550Z124BK, and it suits integrators and OEM builders who want a black, sealed metal case.

Its polyester powder coat covers the enclosure outside and inside and is described as a lasting finish even after machining. Per the drawing, the interior is 214.49 mm [8.44 in] long, 138.49 mm [5.45 in] wide and 77.00 mm [3.03 in] deep, and the part data lists a maximum P.C. board length of 137.33 mm and width of 213.33 mm. The diecast alloy walls have no internal ribs.

The pre-formed, one-piece silicone gasket is rated -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to 302°F); its replacement is 1550Z124GASKET. Replacement lid screws are SC1550Z220-30 (M4 - 0.7 x 45mm, 30 pack).

The 1550Z220BK is rated IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 12 & 13 and IK08 per IEC62262, is cUL and UL listed under file #E71073, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. It ships shrink wrapped at 2.6 lbs (1.18 kg).
