The 1550Z220 is a thick-wall watertight diecast aluminum enclosure measuring 8.76 in x 5.77 in x 3.25 in (223 mm x 147 mm x 83 mm). It shares its length and width with the 1550Z124 but adds depth through a taller 1.30 in (33 mm) lid, for a total depth of 3.27 in (83 mm). It is suited to OEM engineers and integrators who need more headroom for components in a sealed housing.
The drawing shows inside dimensions of 214.49 mm [8.44 in] long, 138.49 mm [5.45 in] wide and 77.00 mm [3.03 in] deep, and the part data lists a maximum P.C. board length of 137.33 mm and width of 213.33 mm. The unpainted diecast aluminum alloy is vibra finished, easy to machine, and has no internal ribs.
Six stainless steel Philips head M4 - 0.7 screws secure the lid outside the silicone gasket; replacements are SC1550Z220-30, M4 - 0.7 x 45mm screws in a 30 pack. Recommended torque is 5-7.5 lbf.in (50-75 cN.m). Blind thru-box holes allow wall mounting with access outside the gasket ring, and a #6 self tapping ground screw fits inside. The replacement gasket pair is 1550Z124GASKET.
The 1550Z220 is rated IP68, NEMA 4, 4X, 12 & 13 and IK08 per IEC62262, is cUL and UL listed under file #E71073, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. It ships shrink wrapped with box, lid, silicone gasket and 6 cover screws at 2.6 lbs (1.18 kg).
