Hammond 1550Z104GASKET Silicone Replacement Gasket Pair for 64 x 58 mm Box

The 1550Z104GASKET contains two pre-formed silicone replacement gaskets for the 1550Z104 and 1550Z104BK thick-wall watertight diecast enclosures, the near-square 64 mm x 58 mm size of the 1550Z Series. It is intended for service technicians and builders who need to renew the lid seal on these enclosures.

Each gasket is pre-formed from one piece of silicone rubber and installs easily into the lid groove. The 1550Z Series gasket carries a temperature rating of -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to 302°F). Hammond describes the part as a 1550Z replacement gasket kit for IP66 protection, and its listed IP rating is IP68.

Listed size is 2.43 in x 2.2 in x 0.09 in (62 mm x 56 mm x 2 mm). The drawing shows the gasket at 61.80 mm [2.43 in] by 55.80 mm [2.20 in], with a 2.30 mm x 2.50 mm [0.09 x 0.10 in] cross-section. It matches enclosures of 2.52 in x 2.28 in (64 mm x 58 mm) with 1.38 in (35 mm) total depth.

The 1550Z104 places its four M4 lid screws outside the gasket protection area, so no o-rings are needed; replacing the seal means pressing the new gasket into the lid groove and refitting the lid at the drawing's recommended torque.
