Hammond 1550Z103GASKET Silicone Replacement Gasket Pair for 98 x 64 mm Box

The 1550Z103GASKET is a pair of pre-formed silicone replacement gaskets for the 1550Z103 and 1550Z103BK thick-wall watertight diecast enclosures, the 98 mm x 64 mm size in the 1550Z Series. It lets technicians and OEM assemblers renew the lid seal when an enclosure has been reopened or reworked.

The gasket is a one-piece silicone rubber part that installs easily into the enclosure's lid groove, and the 1550Z gasket is rated -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to 302°F). Hammond describes it as a 1550Z replacement gasket kit for IP66 protection; the listed IP rating for the part is IP68.

Listed size is 3.77 in x 2.43 in x 0.09 in (96 mm x 62 mm x 2 mm). On the drawing, the gasket measures 95.70 mm [3.77 in] long and 61.70 mm [2.43 in] wide, with a 2.30 mm x 2.40 mm [0.09 in] cross-section. It suits enclosures of 3.86 in x 2.52 in (98 mm x 64 mm) with 1.34 in (34 mm) total depth.

On the 1550Z103 the four M4 cover screws are outside the gasket protection area, so there are no o-rings to replace alongside the gasket; seat the new gasket in the groove and refit the lid at the torque shown on the enclosure drawing.
