The 1550WQBK is a compact 60 mm x 55 mm black watertight diecast aluminum enclosure from the 1550 Series, supplied with an IP66 gasket. Its textured black finish and small footprint make it a fit for miniature electronics, sensor nodes and connector interfaces that need a sealed, professional-looking housing.
The satin black polyester powder paint is specified to give a lasting finish even after machining, and black screws are included for a uniform assembled look. The die-cast aluminum alloy body is tough yet easy to machine; a lap joint guards against dust and splashing water, and M3.5 x 0.6 x 12 mm stainless steel Philips head screws fasten the lid into factory tapped holes.
Listed size is 2.36 in x 2.17 in x 1.02 in (60 mm x 55 mm x 26 mm). The series table shows 2.36 x 2.17 x 1.18 in (60 x 55 x 30 mm), including the 4 mm (0.16 in) lid. Inside box length is 55.74 mm [2.19 in] and inside box width 50.74 mm [2.00 in] per the drawing. Shipping weight is 0.18 lbs (0.08 kg).
Rib-free internal walls simplify connector fitting and the 2° lower draft angle helps PC board mounting. The supplied EVA foam gasket, shipped loose inside and rated up to 65°C (149°F), provides IP66 when properly installed with lid screws torqued at 55 cN.m.
The 1550WQBK is RoHS and REACH compliant and shrink wrapped. Compatible accessories: 1550QEGASKET (IP66), 1550QSGASKET (IP67 silicone), 1550MS100BK screws and 1550MS50TBK tamper-resistant screws.
