Hammond 14R0705 6.75 x 4.88 in White Steel Enclosure Inner Panel

The Hammond 14R0705 is a 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm) inner panel in 14 gauge white steel, sized for 8 x 6 in 1414 and EJ Series enclosures and the matching PJ Series enclosure. It gives OEM engineers, panel builders and electricians a flat, pre-drilled surface for mounting components inside the enclosure, and belongs to Hammond's 14A, 14F, 14G, 14R and 14R-SS inner panel family.

It is formed from 14 gauge steel and finished in white. Hammond's series notes state that steel panels and mounting hardware are included with 1414 Series enclosures, making the 14R0705 the separately ordered white steel panel for the 8 x 6 in size. The part drawing shows a 0.07 in panel section with four 0.27 in diameter mounting holes.

Per the series ordering table the panel measures 6.75 in (171 mm) long by 4.88 in (124 mm) wide; Hammond's product description rounds this to a nominal 6.9 x 4.9 in panel that fits a 8 x 6 enclosure. It is listed for 1414 and EJ enclosures measuring 8.00 x 6.00 in H x W (203 x 152 mm), and for PJ Series enclosures measuring 8.94 x 7.06 in (227 x 179 mm).

The drawing places the four mounting holes on a 6.25 x 4.25 in pattern. Mounting hardware is included with the enclosure rather than listed with the panel. For PJ Series enclosures Hammond notes the hardware comes with the enclosure while the panel is ordered separately. Shipping weight is 0.7 lbs (0.32 kg), packed in a bag, and the 14R0705 is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.

The same 6.75 x 4.88 in footprint is also offered in fiberglass (14F0705), aluminum (14A0705), galvanized steel (14G0705) and stainless steel (14R0705SS), so a matching panel can be chosen in white-finished steel or another material without changing the layout.
