The 1490D2 is a two-hole sloped consolet for 30.5 mm heavy duty oil tight devices. It is part of the 1490 Series Type 12 mild steel pushbutton enclosures and is ideal for wall or surface mounting where operators need an angled control face.
Overall size is 3.50 in H x 5.50 in W x 4.88 in D (89 x 140 x 124 mm). The drawing shows a 5.87 x 3.87 in door with two 1.21 in holes spaced 2.25 in apart, plus 0.25 in mounting holes in the welded brackets. Mounting position sets the front cover at a 30° or 60° slope.
The 1490D2 is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating over a phosphatized surface. The cover is not hinged; captive cover screws thread into sealed wells and compress an oil resistant gasket to shield devices from dirt, dust, oil and water.
It is rated UL 508A Type 12 and 13 and CSA Type 12 and 13, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and 13 and IEC 60529, IP54 with appropriate components. A bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud on the enclosure are included. The 22.5 mm equivalent is 1490MD2.
