Hammond 1488HL9 12 x 20 in N12 Consolet, Sloped Front

The 1488HL9 is a 12 in high by 20 in wide consolet, offering an 18.20 in x 10.20 in clear area on its hinged cover for a longer row of operator devices while keeping the 10.90 in body depth of the 12 in cover-height group. It is a Type 12 consolet from the 1488 Series, designed for use as an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control and instrument enclosure, and it protects its contents from dirt, dust, oil and water.

The body is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams. The cover is continuously hinged and can be removed by pulling the hinge pin; captive cover screws thread into sealed wells, and an oil resistant gasket and adhesive seal the opening. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a ground stud on the enclosure. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The enclosure is ideal for flat or surface mounting, or on a pedestal, and its construction provides either a 30° or 60° slope on the front cover depending on mounting position.
