Hammond 1486C48 4 x 4 x 48 in Type 4/12 Wiring Trough

The 1486C48 is a 48 in (1219 mm) wiring trough with a 4.00 in x 4.00 in section, part of the 1486 Series of Type 4/12 troughs. It is designed to enclose and protect multiple wiring junctions from dirt, dust, oil and water, and its four-foot length handles longer runs of larger conductor bundles along lines and machine frames.

The trough is formed 14 gauge steel with smooth continuously welded seams. The butt hinged cover is secured by easily operated stainless steel screw clamps over permanently secured oil resistant gaskets, and 12 gauge external mounting feet are welded to the back. Trough and cover are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Dimensions are 4.00 in (102 mm) H x 4.00 in (102 mm) D x 48.00 in (1219 mm) L. The manufacturer drawing shows a 47.21 in x 3.21 in opening, a 48.38 in x 4.38 in door, 46.75 in mounting hole spacing and 0.31 in diameter holes.

The series is rated UL 870 Type 1, 12, 4 and CSA Type 1, 12, 4, and complies with NEMA Type 12, 4 and IEC 60529 IP66. This part is listed under UL File E186830 and CSA Cert. LL21312, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships in a box at 20 lbs (9.07 kg).
