The Hammond 1485DM1 is a 1" nipple for 6 x 6 N12 wireway from the 1485 M Series. It is the short connector for the largest wireway size in this nipple series, suited to electricians and panel builders joining a 6 x 6 lay-in wireway to an enclosure or fitting with minimal spacing.
The nipple is steel with a gray finish. The drawing shows a 7.63 in square flange, a 5.86 in inside opening and a 1.00 in length, with mounting holes of 0.28 in diameter set on a 3.31 in pattern and 0.38 in corner radii.
One flat sealing plate is included. Per the series note, lay-in nipples come with a special sealing plate which cannot be used adjacent to swivel nipples, and 1487 Series nipples should be used for that position.
