Hammond 1481WSSDH2024 14 x 15 Deep Hinged Window Kit, 316 Stainless 4X

The 1481WSSDH2024 is a deep hinged window kit in 316 stainless steel with a 14.00 x 14.75 in (356 x 375 mm) viewing area, one of the larger windows in the 1481WDH range. Extra deep kits like this one are designed to provide protection and easy access to components and equipment installed inside an enclosure, giving panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers 2.5 inches of extra usable depth behind the window.

The frame is 316L stainless steel (listed on the part page as 316SS) in a natural brushed stainless steel finish, and the window is 0.25 in thick UV resistant polycarbonate. An oil resistant neoprene gasket ensures a watertight seal, so the kit maintains the environmental protection level of the enclosure: stainless steel versions maintain Type 4, 4X and 12, and this part is listed as UL/CSA Type 12, Type 4 and Type 4X.

Overall dimensions are 18.19 in (462 mm) by 20.14 in (512 mm), with the part page giving a size of 18.2 in x 20.2 in x 2.75 in (462 mm x 513 mm x 70 mm) (H x W x D). The landscape (wider than tall) viewing area measures 14.00 x 14.75 in, and the maximum cut-out size is 15.19 x 17.14 in (386 x 435 mm). Shipping weight is 14 lbs (6.35 kg). This size uses a single quarter turn latch for easy access, and the hinges can be oriented in any direction. The kit is conveniently sized to allow mounting on the door of any Hammond Wallmount Series enclosure, or in any other Hammond enclosure with a suitable mounting surface.
